The SSI SCHAEFER QUAD SYSTEM (SQS) is a highly-dynamic, aisle-bound, automatic storage and retrieval system used to support order-picking (pick-by-light, pick-by-voice, goods-to-man, etc.), as a production buffer in manufacturing, or as buffer to de-couple two different order processing methods so they do not become dependant on one another. The SQS system runs on a rail and bus-bar system mounted inside the rack structure and can pick 4 totes at one time. SSI SCHAEFER can vertically configure up to 5 shuttle units in a single aisle.
